Your new opportunity
The Principal Analyst leads the contract management functions for large scale performance-based contracts with suppliers delivering whole-of-government banking and financial transaction services.
You will lead the provision of banking-related advice to departments and agencies concerned with their emerging product and service requirements; legislative requirements; application of any whole-of-government banking policy; broader developments within the banking and payments sector; information on and facilitating access to new payment solutions/innovations; and leveraging analysis of channel usage and developing proposals for channel shifts that deliver improved efficiency and economy.
In this role, you will:
Work closely with suppliers and agencies to monitor, recommend improvements and manage performance matters including resolving disputes and performance issues.
Analyse supplier performance over the life of contracted services and formally document contract reviews.
Monitor and advise on the management of key risks at a contract level for large complex contracts and facilitate appropriate input from legal, technical and commercial specialists.
Demonstrate a thorough understanding and application of Government's policy guidance and ensure these requirements are understood and consistently applied across the team.
Shape the vision and direction of the team engaged on contract management and support the implementation and maintenance of robust contract management processes and record keeping across the team.
Contribute to the development, review of new contractual documentation for complex, high-risk contracts, and determine resourcing for future contract management.
What experience you will bring:
• understanding the State's Contract Management Framework
• contract management experience with high value strategic supply contracts
• specific activities across the contract management cycle for high value strategic contracts, such as contract close out activities, transition planning, implementing a detailed contract management plan
• providing advice to contract stakeholders on available products
Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, however, relevant qualifications in business, commerce or accounting, contract management, project management proficiency, are highly desirable.
